Since 2020, the French Version, a range dedicated to exceptional French spirits, has been meeting producers across the country and showcasing their expertise. In 2023, the French Version inaugurates a new cycle dedicated to various stages of whisky production. Named Cerealis, the first episode of this cycle highlights the iconic cereals used in whisky production worldwide, featuring four versions crafted from corn, rye, barley, and wheat. Distilled between 2013 and 2019 in an Armagnac still, the four small batches revisit the categories of bourbon, rye, single malt, and grain whisky. Zea Mays, named after the scientific name for corn, is made from a blend of 51% corn and 49% malted barley. Aged in charred new American oak barrels, this version explores multiple worlds: firstly, the indulgence of American whiskeys, then an exotic and herbaceous character without compromise. Its taste and aromatic palette express noble influences with a lot of roundness.
