The first vintage was produced in 1997, and at that time there were only two other Chenin Blancs in this style produced in South Africa.A careful selection of the most characterful fruit from their oldest vineyards at Beaumont, planted in 1974 and ’78.Complete natural fermentation with minimal intervention in old 400L French oak. It spent a further 10 months on the lees after fermentation before blending and bottling.A fresh, clean yet powerful wine with upfront fruit expression.
